Good afternoon Nagios team,
We have had three instances where we have created a monitor and it has caused the monitoring engine to stop and give us this error: "no lock file found in /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.lock". Once we delete the host and monitor associated with that host, the issues resolve. Can someone please help us with this as this is technically a production outage because we cannot monitor our business solutions. Please let us know what we can provide you to trouble shoot. We did clone the Nagios server if you needed to remote in and poke around.

You need to go to the CCM -> Services
Select the config flstdb1.corp.flp
click the disk icon next to any service and post back the contents
The service that starts on line 84 of that file is missing 1 of the following:
service_description
host_name
check_command
