Dashboards getting Deleted

Post by ksafa »

Just installed Nagios XI version 5.4.13 on RHEL7 and was trying to create some dashboards and deploy to different users. Noticed that when i would delete the dashboard from my admin account or account where dashboard was originally created it would also delete it from the user that had it deployed. I tried with keep synced options checked and unchecked. Same results. Do not observe this behavior in earlier version of Nagios.

Thanks

@ksafa, This was fixed in XI 5.4.1

Code: Select all

- Fixed deployed, synced dashboards to automatically be removed when the dashboard is deleted by the source dashboard [TPS#10720] -JO

But should it be removed if it is not synced? That is what I am observing and that doesn't seem correct to me.

That was the designed behavior but had been broken in the past.

Deployed dashboards are admins sharing dashboards, and when they remove the original, the deployed dashboards should go away.
