Polling a cisco interface - beyond 50mb the graph shows zero

Post by vijilants »

System:
Nagios XI Version : 5.4.11
londnms1 2.6.32-431.29.2.el6.i686 i686
CentOS release 6.5 (Final)
Gnome Installed

Hi,

Can someone please advise on the problem below:

When the bandwidth utilization goes above 50mb on a ciscio interface, the bandwidth graph on nagios shows zero bandwidth usage. If I lower the traffic rate below 50mb on the interface, the graph starts registering.

Note I am running SNMPv2 and I have done a manual SNMP walk on the mib and I can see thespecific interface counters increment.

Many Thanks

Did you configure this using the stock Switch/Router wizard?

Yes I did, but this was showing zero for about 2 hours and then suddenly burst in to life.

Not sure as to exactly what is going on.

Thanks

Maybe there really wasn't much traffic?

Can we consider this closed?
