Hi Guys,
I know this is nagios forum, but have anyone come accross monitoring hpux with snmp?
As my understanding from hpe engineers, the host-resources-mib is not included in the default snmp.
I have installed net-snmp , able to snmpwalk to get host-resources-mib, but the respond is too super slow, it is like showing 2-3 output /second, which eventually lead to timeout.
May i know how do i troubleshoot for this?
Thanks
host-resources-mib on Hpux

Re: host-resources-mib on Hpux
I'll leave the thread open in case someone else has any input, but the SNMP returning that slow seems like a problem with either the server or the amount of resources SNMP is allowed to use on the server.
I don't know that the problem is HPUX specific, but I am not a hpux expert.
Any community members that have experienced painfully slow responses from snmpwalks (only 2-3 output /second) and have resolutions please add your experiences.
