Nagios Xi version
CentOS7
64bit
Hyper-V image
no proxys
I recently downloaded the Nagios software for Hyper V from your website and ran into a few issues.
I am unable to get it to function like it shows in the install documentation.
I tried the stand version after extracting the .VHD and also tried converting it to .VHDx and the same issue seems to be happening on both.
I enabled the Legacy network adapter, and it is receiving a valid ip address when i boot into CentOS (rescue) by using the ip addr command.
It has 2 cores , 2048 megs of Ram
When booting up I get 4 options:
CentOS Linux (3.10.0-862.2.3.el7 ./x86_64) 7 (core)
CentOS Linux (3.10.0-693.21.1.el7 ./x86_64) 7 (core)
CentOS Linux (3.10.0-693.el7 /x86_64) 7 (core)
CentOS Linux (-rescue-a64631f6084c443c87c943e40c4c70e1) 7 (core)
Choosing any of the first 3 I get an quite a few seemingly notable errors :
Dracut-initqueue[263]: Warning: Could not boot.
Dracut-initqueue[263]:/dev/centos/root does not exist
Dracut-initqueue[263]:/dev/centos/swap does not exist
Dracut-initqueue[263]:/dev/mapper/centos-root does not exsist
blk_update_request: I/o error, dev fd0, sector 0
After that i get sent to dracut:/#
Choosing the last option (CentOS Linux (-rescue-a64631f6084c443c87c943e40c4c70e1) 7 (core)), I get an error as well:
Fast TSC calibration failed
However when choosing the last option, It does eventually boot to the localhost login, where i can add the root user and password supplied, and can see it has a valid ip address. when trying to access NagiosXl with http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx it says no such file exists. Am I safe to assume -rescue- is similar to windows safe mode so it wont launch the GUI?
Any suggestions would be awesome!

Re: Hyper-V and Nagios .vhd download
Hello,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We have verified this already, and a fix is in the works as we speak.
I will update you when the new VHD's are ready.
