API host group migration Nagios XI

Hello everyone,

We already have a created hostgroup with all the host. We are Trying to copy all hosts from one host group to another hostgroup using nagios api. Automate it as much as I can as there are a lot of hosts and cannot be done manually. Can anyone help me with the command. I would be really thankful.

Hello, @kunalbangia. Are you looking for the best way to accomplish your task or are you more interested in finding a way to automate this with the API? I'm don't think you can move hosts with the API. You could add new hosts that inherit from a template, and have that template be a part of the new host group. This seems a bit complicated for this task.
Can you simply add hosts to the new host group holding a CRL or a SHIFT button?
