Before I upgrade to 5.5 - is mod_gearman gonna work?

Post by SteveBeauchemin »

As the subject asks, mod_gearman...

I am very dependent on mod_gearman. I saw a forum post that makes me concerned as to whether the core 4.4.1 will run it properly.

Please put my concerns to rest and tell me that the new release will still allow mod_gearman to work properly.

Thanks

If you have mod_gearman the installer skips the upgrade to Core but upgrades everything else.

This will be upgraded once there is a compatible version of mod_gearman

What about a new clean install. I have 3 new servers that are ready. I was waiting for the 5.5 release that just came out.

Do I need to install the previous version, setup mod_gearman, then upgrade to 5.5?

This is what I would recommend, yes.

Where there's a will, there's a way. Good enough.

Thanks
