Timeperiods and timezones

Post by drug »

Our entire Nagios XI infrastructure is configured to use UTC. However, we have several checks that can only be executed during specific times (Eastern Time). Although we can offset the timeperiods against UTC this is obviously a problem during Daylight Savings Time when that time fluctuates by an hour.

Is there a plan to add a Timezone option for timeperiods? If not might you have any other suggestions for accommodating these checks with such timezone constraints?

Unfortunately, there are no plans about adding a timezone option for timeperiods as far as I know. The way I see it, you have 2 options - to adjust your timeperiods twice a year during the daylight saving time or change your server to use Eastern timezone.
