Problem on adding a window's host

Hi,
I'm trying to add some window's machine that have the NCPA agent installed
the port 5693 is open because I get the initial choice of picking what to monitor and the alert levels
but when I go to finish, all I get is
Configuration verification failed.
Configuration Error
An error occurred while attempting to apply your configuration to the monitoring engine. Contact your Nagios administrator if this problem persists.

I looked in the Nagios.log for any failure, but nothing got recorded
is there another log to see what the error is?

I did a locate .log |egrep nagios |egrep -v archive but I did not see anything that looked like a log to look at

Were you able to apply configuration successfully prior to running the NCPA wizard?

Go to the CCM > Tools > Config File Management, click on Write Configs, then on Verify Files. Did you see any errors? If you did, copy/paste the errors on the forum. Nagios cannot start/restart with config errors. You will need to fix the errors before trying to apply configuration. If you don't see any configuration errors, you can apply configuration.

thank you, you can close this.
What you told me showed that I had a contact that somehow lost it's host notification commands even though it was a month old
once I fixed the contact, all was good
