Upgrade to v5.4.9 fails

Post by mkeey »

Tried to run the upgrade thru the GUI but it just clocks for hours - see attached screen print. There are no logs or any information that I can find and there isn't a daemon running on the Linux server indicating and upgrade is running.

Is there a command line upgrade we can perform?

I did go to www.nagios.com to see but all the information I found was on how to purchase... nothing for existing customers for an upgrade.

Are you upgrading TO or FROM ver. 5.4.9? Can you confirm?

If you are upgrading to ver. 5.4.9, what is the version of Nagios XI that you are upgrading from?

If you are upgrading to ver. 5.4.9, post the /tmp/nagiosxi/upgrade.log file on the forum.

Is your Nagios Xi server connected to the Internet? Are you using a proxy?

Have you tried upgrading manually (from the command line)?

No. Didn't know we had that option as I thought we upgraded from the GUI.
We could try the command line option - will look at documentation link you sent - but we prefer the GUI method.

Thanks - since there's no resolution available, but there is a work around, please close the case.
