Local Backups Not Replacing Oldest

Hello Team,

Seems as though even with the backup limit set to 1 they just keep on piling up. I have 2 instances that have the same issue ATT1-NAG1 and ATT3-NAG1, we also have an instance that will not backup at all ATT5-NAG1. I have deleted all backups for ATT1-NAG1 and ATT3-NAG1 just to see them pile up again and again. I have attached the profile for each. Let me know if you need anything else from my end.

Thank you!

Hey Scott, I see that this was a FTP backup issue, does this apply to my local backup issue as well?

That is correct.

I just found one post that had the fix.

Hey Scott, I replaced the files on ATT5-NAG1 and ATT3-NAG1 and seemed to have no effect. ATT5 was not backing up and is still not backing up and ATT3 did not replace the old file. I have deleted all backups now and will wait to see if that has any effect. As for ATT5 well....... I have replace the files in ATT1 today and removed all backups to have a fresh start and will find out on Monday if it has worked or not. Looks like we might need a remote either way to get the backups working for ATT5 even if the changes do work for ATT1 and ATT5. Let me know what works for you. Thanks!

The changes will only be noticeable after the scheduled backups run, so once it creates a new backup it should remove the extras, all on the next scheduled backup time AFTER you made the changes.

Ahh, you must have accidentally changed the permissions then

run this

Code: Select all

chown nagios.nagios /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/components/scheduledbackups/scheduledbackups.inc.php
