Nagios Update in progres

Post by Nuggel1234 »

Hi,

we want to update via web to the newest version. At the moment we use Nagios XI 5.5.0

We use a proxy without authentication. On the Web it sees, that there is a update available.
When I update, there is the message "Update in progress. Please wait. Update may take a few minutes." But nothing happens for hours or days. The windows underneath the message is empty.

If I'm restart the services or the server, the message appears again.

So what can we do?

In the ssh-console, there is also no way we can update our nagios.

[root@XXXXXXX ~]# wget -O upgrade.sh https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/upgrade.sh
--2018-08-22 12:21:22-- https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/upgrade.sh
Resolving assets.nagios.com (assets.nagios.com)... 72.14.181.71, 2600:3c00::f03c:91ff:fedf:b821
Connecting to assets.nagios.com (assets.nagios.com)|72.14.181.71|:443...

That is all we get.

Thanks

It doesn't look like a connection can be made. I could suggest just downloading the upgrade script to another machine and manually copying it over and running, but the script makes additional requests to download files and you'll likely see similar results. If possible, I would instead configure the machine to not use a proxy(https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/n ... s-147.html) while you perform the upgrade.
