Service group

Post by Mani.Murugesan »

Hello Team,

I want to k now below points right or wrong ?

In nagios we have created service group for uptime so that group name is "Windows server uptime"
In nagios we are creating service groups for at a time we can disable the notifications and we can change at a time check settings like interval and retry interval

SO these are all the usages right ? so that's y we have service group option or any thing is there ?
if I delete old service group that will affect anything ?

Yes this does seem logical.

You can make mass changes to these single config options using
CCM -> Bulk Modifications Tool -> Change a single configuration option -> Select Services using Service Groups

No, service groups are just a logical grouping of services, they do not affect other settings, so you can remove them in the future if need be.
