Enforcing Local Password Requirements & Password Complexity

Testing the XI 5.5.4 options for Local Password Requirements & Password Complexity. If these system settings are enabled or modified after a User has set their password and password doesn't meet set requirement, there isn't a prompt to change password at next login.

I assume this is the intended behavior, but shouldn't the new settings be enforced upon next login?

Yes, it is intended behavior. You could go to the "Edit User" page, and force the password change at the next login by selecting the appropriate check-box, and clicking on "Update User". You could also turn on the password expiration (Maximum Password Age) to enforce password change after a specified period of time.
