NagiosXI Service Removal Possible Bug

Post by Flava »

Hi,

I have noticed when you click on Service to view the settings and then remove the service from the config, you are taking back to service status page, but service just deleted is still there. Page does not automatically refresh, you would have to manually refresh it to see the changes even though it appears the page has reloaded.

Thanks

Did you apply the changes? Because this restarts the nagios service with the new config. If you don't do this, the service will still be displayed and performed.

You can do this by clicking the "Apply configuration" button under the services or choosing "Apply configuration" at the menu at the left of the screen and the clicking the "Apply configuration"

Think of this as you would apply the configuration on a firewall.

I would have to ask the same question. Additionally what version of XI are you using?

Sorry for the late response, I have upgraded to latest version (Nagios XI 2011R2.2 ) of NagiosXI and this seems to have resolved the issue.
Thanks
