Hi Nagios Team,

I have installed nrpe by following https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... _Agent.pdf

I have used NRPE Wizard to monitor host.
NREP Wizard apply changes went thorough fine and verification completed.
However after the apply changes, nagios core backend service is not starting up.
nagios core backend service to started after reverting to a older snapshot.

Below are the cmdsys log o/p :

Hello, @vishfx. You don't need to install NRPE agent on the XI server because it already comes pre-installed with it.
Are you experiencing any problems at all after you reverted to the past snapshot? Please rerun the NRPE wizard and if you start getting problems send us your system profile.
To send us your system profile. Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button
Save the profile.zip file and send it in a private message.
After you send a profile please post something in this thread to bring it back up in the support queue.

Hi,

I am not referring to nrpe installed on NagiosXI web node.
In this case its a remote system, where nrpe agent is running.

Have PM the profile.zip.

Regards,
Vish.

@vishfx, I don't see anything outstanding in the profile. Probably because you reverted to a good snapshot and old logs were already rotated. I suggest opening a support ticket with me here: https://support.nagios.com/tickets . That way we can schedule a quick remote session and I'll see how you're adding nrpe hosts and what exactly is breaking. Let me know if you think that would work for you? Otherwise, I will provide you with further text instructions on the forum.
