Backend API is Deprecated in Nagios 5.5 version

Post by mejokj »

Hi,

We have been using Nagios Backend API token to access Bandwidth utilization reports directly without logging in by giving the username and Backend API token.

But with the recent nagios version 5.5 the option is deprecated and we are getting session timed out error while we access the direct URL with username and token.

For example, we used to access it using the following URL:

https://192.168.10.100/nagiosxi/include ... QOeRrsJLWj

Now it just says: Your session has timed out.

Please let me know if there's a way to do this using the new REST API.

Thanks.

The old method can be enabled under Admin > System Config > System Settings > Backward Compatibility.

Thanks, that fixed the issue for me.

It would have been great if this was mentioned somewhere on the components page where it said: DEPRECATED! Use the objects API instead.
