data dir move

hello,

we currently need to move our storage space for the eleastic data dir, as expected we have several terabytes to move and was wondering if its possible to safely move previous days only while keeping the current day active and then stop elastic, move the current day and modify elastic data directory in the config file. this would permit us to keep the service active with minimal downtime instead of shutting it down for several hours while the data copy to the new storage space.

if it's possible is there a procedure available ?
