monitor windows event logs errors

Post by dca_admin »

http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... entLog.pdf

I followed instructions from the link above to monitor Windows Event Logs for Errors and notify us once Errors are found using NagEventLog addon. NSCA is configured on NagiosXI server.

we are seeing this error in application log on client machines:

"The description for Event ID 1104 from source NagiosEventLog Test cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Test message

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table"

Its continously creating errors with same content and because of this my C drive become full and my machines going down

@dca_admin, I see you have opened a ticket for the same issue in our ticketing system, so I will be closing this thread. In the future please only open one or the other so we can focus our efforts. Thank you!
