Minimal Open Ports

Post by exelonco »

This is just a general security question: What are the minimal ports that need to be open to operate Nagios software.

Thanks to all in advance....

This really depends on what type of monitoring you need to do, however at a minimum you will need port 80 or 443 to be able to access the web interface and access on port 22 (SSH) to install the software.

Right ports 80 and 443 for the Apache and 22 for ssh. Those were the minimal ports that i could think of off hand, but i wasn't sure if there were any others that were required and want to post the question to be sure.

Many Thanks.
