Hello, we are running v5.5.10, VM, 64-bit, CentOS 7
We are in the habit of using a DNS for a host address.
We recently had a DNS outage followed by an alert storm with a "name resolution" error in the alert text.
I'm guessing that using the server IP for the host address would protect us from a DNS outage, it that right?

DNS question
Re: DNS question
That should do the trick since there wouldn't be a need to resolve a host name to an IP.
