Nagios backup configuration and load it on a new server

Post by nms_system_support »

Hello,

We have a Nagios server with Nagios XI 5.3.3 and RedHat 6.8

We want to install a new server with Centos7.6 and the latest Nagios version.

Is it possible to get the configuration from old server and put it on the new one?

Or do we have to upgrade the old server to the latest Nagios version and then get it and put it at the new one? if yes is it possible to upgrade 5.3.3 to latest version?

Thank you

I would highly recommend updating the old server to the latest, take a backup and then restore on the new server
