Monitoring USB / LPT based monitoring of Printers

Dear team

I have a requirement where customer wants to monitor their printers who are USB based and is spread across the country. Is there any way to monitor these printers using Nagios . These printers are nothing but used in Financial segments. Any ready made scripts available

Are these the same model printers? Nagios XI ships with a "Printer" wizard for monitoring HP JetDirect compatible network printers. There are some 3rd party plugins for monitoring various printers on the Nagios Exchange:

You could see if any of these would meet your requirements. Once you tested a plugin from the command line, and verified it works, you could add a command and a service in Nagios XI by following the document below:
