Root signer cert for our Nagios Log server using LDAPS?

Post by mkojder »

So I need a new root signer certificate on our Nagios Log server in order to be able to use LDAPS for user authentication.

How do I go about installing this on Nagios Log Server 2.6 running on the Centos appliance?

It doesn't have the GUI that other Nagios products have for this level of integration.

Any hints?

Thanks.

Oh yeah and the documentation around getting LDAPS to work is slim to nonexistent. Kinda unfortunate.

The Network Analyzer stuff is supposed to be close but in reality it's not great either. Other products I use make it relatively easy to leverage external authentication but Log Server seems to make it a bit of a chore...I can't even tell if the feature is working at all, or where to find the logs. Nothing seems in the standard location.

Which documentation did you reference? https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... d-LDAP.pdf goes step by step to import the root CA.
