Monitoring the connection of windows to database

Hi Team,

I wanted to ask if this is possible in Nagios to monitor the connection of an windows instance to a database and get alerts on the Nagios ???

I am using Nagios core version 4.4.1

If this data is stored somewhere you can write a plugin to report on it..
