Upgrade from 5.5.11 to 5.6.0 hangs

Trying to do the upgrade to 5.6 on our test server from the web gui and it's just hanging. See below screenshot.

It's been like that since yesterday afternoon when I started the upgrade. How do I know if it's safe to try and do the backup and update manually?

@snapon_admin. You should upgrade from the command line. Please follow the "Manual Download" steps from this article:

If the manual upgrade fails, please upload /tmp/nagiosxi/upgrade.log in this thread.
