how do I kill a running backup?

Post by benhank »

In preparation for the upgrade I started a backup from the "how to backup and restore nagios" doc.

I knew backing up nagios can take awhile so I went home, cam back this morning and the backup is still running.

Then I read the upgrading nagios doc, which says that I have to stop nagios services BEFORE the backup..

Now I have a ton of xyz file changed while backing up and ....
My question is how do I stop this back up that is running while it is displaying text on the screen and I have no command line.? Is there a key on the keyboard I can hit to stop it so I can back up properly?
