Cannot find module SNMPv2-SMI Error

Hi all, I'm a fairly new to Linux and Nagios.
I installed Nagios3 on Ubuntu 11.04, the install went well with no major issues. However, when i try to monitor a Cisco switch -port link status- i get the following error. Uptime check doesn't work as well.
External command error: MIB search path: /root/.snmp/mibs:/usr/share/mibs/site:/usr/share/snmp/mibs:/usr/share/mibs/iana:/usr/share/mibs/ietf:/usr/share/mibs/netsnmp
Cannot find module (SNMPv2-SMI): At line 0 in (none)
ifOperStatus.1: Unknown Object Identifier (Sub-id not found: (top) -> ifOperStatus)
snmpwalk v1 and v2c to the switch works fine.
Does anyone have a solution to this issue?
Regards, Pendrgn
