Recurrent scheduled downtime nofitication issue

Post by infojami »

Hi,
We have configured recurrent scheduled downtime to avoid high CPU usage alert notification emails for certain duration every night and we don’t want Nagios to notify us during this period.

We are supposed to get only “DOWNTIMESTART” and “DOWNTIMEEND” emails (2 emails only). However, we are getting more than 2 notification emails for CPU status changes for that specific host in that scheduled downtime period.

We are using Nagios XI 2011R1.6 and doing everything from Nagios web admin console.

Any help to fix this will be highly appreciated.

Thank you,
Jami

By chance have you setup a ram disk on your Nagios server for the status.dat and objects.cache ?

Hi Scott,

Thank you for your reply.

There is no RAMDISK configured in my Nagios server. If I entere, "dmesg | grep RAMDISK", it is showing nothing.

Thanks again.

If you look at Home -> Scheduled Downtime

Do you have multiple items in there for the same time period?
