Help on Nagios Check_cpu plugin

We are using check_cpu plugin with default settings command[check_cpu]=/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_cpu -w 70,40,30 -c 90,60,40
and we are getting lots of noise, how can I change the settings to notify only when cpu usage is high for certain amount of time?

First we would need to know where you got check_cpu plugin from as it is not part of one of our packages
