All Switch Wizard added devices reporting 0 after Midnight

Post by jeevans »

Nagios XI 5.6.1 install that's been working great for years. However, beginning last night any device I used the "Network Switch / Router" wizard to monitor started showing 0 up/down starting around Midnight last night. An SNMP walk of the devices show proper bandwidth at the appropriate SNMP OID.

I've rebooted the server, shut down and added processors (it was running around 68% previously), and ran a database repair.

Solution

I ran "LANG=C LC_ALL=C /usr/bin/mrtg /etc/mrtg/mrtg.cfg --lock-file /var/lock/mrtg/mrtg_l --confcache-file /var/lib/mrtg/mrtg.ok"

This found duplicate entries in /etc/mrtg/conf.d/ I removed the duplicate entries and everything is working as designed.
