Windows monitoring

Post by jackiebaron »

Hi, I've just built a Nagios system on
Ubuntu and want to do 2 things.
1. Monitor some windoze boxes on my net and
2. Monitor the printers/routers

I tried to install the windows agent but it barfed saying that I needed a 32 bit msi (even though that's on the label) and also I need to have net-snmp and net-snmp-utils but they don't exist in the libexec directory. My version is 1.4.11.

Thanks for any feedback.

Which windows agent are you trying to use? I'm also not sure what net-snmp and net-snmp-utils has to do with windows. I recommend using NSClient++ as your windows agent.

Hello, I do not know if this topic has already been addressed or is not the right place to treat it.
I downloaded the check_exit_status.pl, and monitor nagios where I have my machine (localhost) and it works perfectly, the problem is when I check a remote machine. The error that throws me is "Check the output or exit status of a script." I check the script but I see you have the option-H HOSTADDRESS not know if I would have to be set or something. Thanks hope can help

Would you be able to post this as a new topic just for visibility purposes, when you do so are you able to provide a link to the plugin you downloaded?
