MSSQL Monitoring

Post by hiltonh69 »

Hi,

Im new to Nagios and have deployed the Nagios Vmare virtual machine. I have added a few hosts to it using the Windows Server template and that works fine but when adding the MSSQL Server configuration wizard i get Status information (null).

Im not able to get any stats from the SQL server. I have checked connectivity and am able to pull stats such as CPU usage from it. My config is:

SQL server name : its IP address
SQL instance : i have left blank as its the default instance
Port : 1433
Username: i have used windows login

Is the config above correct to connect to it. I also see nothing in the SQL logs.

Thanks,

These plugins require the use of SQL Server authentication as opposed to windows login.
