Nagios XI intermittently fails on 'force an immediate check'

Dear Nagios Support,

We are using NagiosXI 5.4.13, running on RHEL 7.4 with 16 CPU, 32GB memory. Currently, we are experiencing some problem with the 'force an immediate check' where it fails, and during this time 'apply config' also not completing. However, the issue happens intermittently but for some long period of time, then it starts to be successful again and so on.

Urgently require your support to solve this problem. We have looked up and done recommendations and possibilities, but issue still persists. Need your kind assistance on which angle to move on to solve this problem.

When this is not functioning I would like to see what happens in this log when you attempt to Apply Configuration

Run the following from the CLI

Code: Select all

tail -f /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/cmdsubsys.log

Apply configuration in the GUI

Wait a minute or so and send the output back to us.

Additionally send the output of the following command at the same time

tail -50 /var/log/cron

I think we are going to need a full system profile, I would suggest opening a ticket here

Then send in a profile from Admin -> System Config -> System Profile
