Hello,
The other day I added a new user to my Nagios XI instance and I received a strange SYNTAX error near the top of the XI console window. The user was added successfully, so I just dismissed it as a fluke.
Today however, one of the other XI admins was deleting some unneeded services from a host and received a similar SYNTAX error. This seems to have started since we upgraded from CentOS 6 to 7.
I found this support article: https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/n ... r-754.html
Should that resolve the issue?
Thank you.
SYNTAX error when adding new user or deleting service

Yes, you should follow that article.
If the server is still using the Postgress database, the version on Centos 7 needs to have that change done to the postgresql.conf file.

Hi @rferebee,
I was just looking at one of your old profiles and you are using postgres in the nagiosxi database. So yes, as Tom said, you should follow that article to resolve the issue.
