Alarm without a clear

Post by dslaughter »

I've been tasked with setting up an alarm based on a message from tailing a log. The message will indicate an error has occurred but unfortunately there is no message to indicate the error has been corrected. I have to tail the log to get the message and I was thinking I could add a button somewhere the event monitor engineer can click that will kick off a script with an ok message for this service. Can you provide some ideas on how to deal with this scenario?

From the service status detail page on the Advanced tab they can click "Submit passive check result" and send an Ok result
