Hello
I may have asked this in the past - I see other people have as well.
When will Nagios Log Server move to a later major version of Elasticsearch?
The usual question is why - and the answer is in summary, better security, better compression, better speed, better integration with other contemporary applications.
Just as an example, I use Grafana to visualize data captured by NLS - here's an example. These screens really appeal to our business people, and because I have to use a relatively old version of Grafana I'm prevented from using new features of Grafana that are in demand (in-line scripting, for example).
I understand there are breaking-changes between versions of Elasticsearch, and while I appreciate the existing features and stability of NLS, the business here is eager for NLS to use a newer version of Elasticsearch - almost any thing 2.0 and up would do.
Thanks for your time
Mike

I am not aware of any plans to migrate in the near future, but when/if we do it will be documented in the change log:

Thanks for the speedy reply - the change log describes the past -- I'd like a peek into the future!
I know other people have been asking similar questions in this forum, so there is some interest.
Is there any way to make this a feature request?

We have a roadmap site:

It is definitely something that has come up before and our devs are aware of the requests.
