Nagios XI – Installing The Linux Agent

for monitoring RHEL server under nagiosxi do we need to have internet download connection for running below commands:
./0-yum
./1-prereqs
./2-usersgroups
./3-services
./A-subcomponents

or those pkgs reside under linux-nrpe-agent.tar.gz

First you should not run then individually, just run ./fullinstall

and YES, you do need an internet connection to install the required packages.

does that monitoring system require RHN registration ?
on which we are going to install nrpe.

Yes, I do believe you will need RHN registration to install the required packages.

after i run #./fullinstall below error persist
enterpriseenterpriseserver5.7 is not currently supported. Please use Red Hat or CentOS versions 5 or 6.

here can i go with Nagios XI – Monitoring Linux Using SNMP. if installing agent is not possible with 5.7

We had posted some modifications to the install script yesterday, I'm not positive if they will have any effect on your install but you may want to re-download the agent and try again.

Otherwise certainly you could use SNMP to monitor Linux boxes as well
