nrpe.service overwrite?

Hi, I'm running v5.6.9 on a 64-bit VM CentOS 7 server.

My tech support says the last upgrade overwrites /usr/lib/systemd/system/nrpe.service

This causes a complication for them, but they have a work-around.

Can you give me more information on why this happens?

This most likely the result of the install script updating NRPE. What version did you upgrade from?

Also, can you describe the complication ( and the workaround)?

Hello,

On further examination, it seems that there was a "less than clear" result from a process related to extreme standardization (Puppet).

We have one System Administrator for about 100 servers.

Please close the case.
