When services are acknowledged, or in maintenance, the icon in the latest alerts dashlet switches to a wrench, as does the host.
When hosts are acknowledged, of in maintenance, the icon in the latest alerts dashlet is always a red alert.
Is this something I can fix, or is this expected behavior? It makes it hard to identify what is actually an unhanded host outage, without drilling down into the host itself. I know, it's one mouse click, but when this displayed on a wallboard, for an "at-a-glance" status, it's not clear, without logging in on a separate system.
host in maintenance red on latest alerts
Re: host in maintenance red on latest alerts
It is expected for acknowledged alerts to display a wrench icon. Are you saying that the acknowledgement of the host overrides that of the service? I do not believe that an acknowledged host will change from showing red if acknowledged.
Would you like this feature to perform differently? If so, we may be able to submit a feature request to change it to function in a more sensible way.
It is probably more reliable to watch for the wrench icon instead of the red color to see if a problem has been acknowledged and is being worked on.
