Monitoring Windows 2016 Scheduled Tasks

Post by ClemClem »

Hello,

I'm trying to monitor if the task is done once a day.

I have this response:

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H server.domain.com -c check_tasksched -a "filter=title eq 'get_eurofxref'" 'critical=most_recent_run_time < 1,440' empty-state=critical 'empty-syntax=CRITICAL:get_eurofxref NOT found' 'detail-syntax=$${title} is stale more than 1,440'
Failed to validate filter see log for details
I'm pretty new to Nagios XI what can be wrong?

What is the version of NSClient++ that you are currently using?

Can you upload the nsclient.ini and nsclient.log file on the forum?

Try changing you command to this:

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H server.domain.com -c check_tasksched -a "filter=title eq 'get_eurofxref'" 'critical=most_recent_run_time < 1440m' empty-state=critical 'empty-syntax=CRITICAL:get_eurofxref NOT found' 'detail-syntax=$${title} is stale more than 1440m'
Note: Remove the "," and add a unit, e.g. "m" for minutes.

Is it working now?

Yes it works, the command is ok I change also < for >

Code: Select all

[[email protected] ~]$ /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H server.domian.com -c check_tasksched -a "filter=title eq 'get_eurofxref'" 'critical=most_recent_run_time > 1440m' empty-state=critical 'empty-syntax=CRITICAL:get_eurofxref NOT found' 'detail-syntax=$${title} is stale more than 1440m'
: All tasks are ok|'get_eurofxref_exit_code'=0;0;0 'get_eurofxref_most_recent_run_time'=1586844001;0;1586987452
but the service state is unknown state all the time

I don't know how the "CheckTaskSched" command is defined, so it is hard to say why it is failing.
example-01.jpg
However, what you should be using is:

Check command = check_nrpe
$ARG1$ = check_tasksched
$ARG2$ = -a "filter=title eq 'get_eurofxref'" 'critical=most_recent_run_time > 1440m' empty-state=critical 'empty-syntax=CRITICAL:get_eurofxref NOT found' 'detail-syntax=$${title} is stale more than 1440m'

Save, apply configuration.

Go to Home > Details > Service Status > Check Task get_eurofxref > Force an immediate check, and see if the error has been fixed.

I made the modification. When I run check command it's ok. I did save, apply and force.
The service state is still like in the previous post.
