Modification of MySQL to be security compliant - Supported?

Post by steph007 »

Hi,

I'm using the OVA Linux CentOS Nagios XI download from your web site. For ESXi.
For security reason, the security team identified multiple MySQL parameters to changed.
I wondering if we can changed MySQL parameter and if it's supported to do that when using the OVA Linux image?

Yes, you can make change if necessary. The OVA images are meant to be a quick way to set things up and test for the most part. Think of them not as an appliance but as a minimal CentOS image with XI installed.

Thanks, if I'm not sure about what is requested by the security team, I will open a new ticket to have your advice.
