Hello Team,
We are monitoring the current timezone on liinux servers using NCPA API Endpoint System -> Timezone. We have nearly 40 servers configured for timezone monitoring and for 5 servers we are seeing the different timezone i.e we have CDT timezone on linux server but it's showing EDT on NCPA API Endpoint.
We have validated it by running date and timedatectl command on Linux servers and it shows CDT Timezone on those servers, but on NCPA API Endpoint it shows as EDT.
Need your help understanding that why we are seeing this difference and if NCPA is using different approach to check Timezone.
PFA screenshot of NCPA API Endpoint and output of date command.

There are several clocks that could be misaligned on the systems you are monitoring. If timedatectl is reflecting a different time, then maybe the API is reading the time set for another related service. Please read through the following linked documentation for steps on how to check the time zone for various components on a server.
