NagiosXI 5.7.0 Issues

Post by JohnWillette »

I updated my lab XI host via command line. The upgrade prompted me for authorizing changes to the /etc/sudoers, which I granted. The upgrade completed with 0 warnings and 0 errors. When I logged into the XI GUI, I received a warning message that the Program URL did not match the application. Additionally, all host and service checks are not completing, they indicate 'Check is pending'. If I change the fully qualified domain name in the program URL to the IP address of the XI host, I no longer receive the warning message after logon, but the host and service checks remain in a pending state. Normally, we use a global sudoers file that is copied to my XI (and all Linux) hosts on a daily basis. It does not appear to have changed after the update.

Could you please send your /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log for me to pass on to the developers?

/usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.log - file not found

How about the /tmp/upgrade.log file?

One thing I am noting right away is their is a DB error

Code: Select all

[1591718650] NDO-3: Unable to prepare statement for query (5): Table './nagios/nagios_logentries' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed
Can I have you run the database repair process, then restart nagios

Ran repair_databases.sh, which completed successfully, and restarted nagios via systemctl.

Still receiving the warning message below -

IP Address Mismatch In Internal Program URL
Nagios XI appears to be running on a different IP address than the one in the Program URL fiels

There has been no change to this host IP address or it's fully qualified domain name.

All host and service checks are still in a Pending state.

Can you share an updated /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log after the DB repair?

Thanks
