Nagios receives a sigterm signal that triggers shutdown

Post by ccasho »

Nagios receives a sigterm signal that triggers the shutdown, however the sender of the signal is not logged. Nagios is being shutdown twice a day and is causing disruptions with the rest of the system. What is causing this and how can it be avoided.

Hi @ccasho,

Let's start by getting a copy of the system profile from the server so we can check the logs for errors. Additionally, I have a couple more questions.

1. When did this behavior start and did coincide with any system changes?

2. Are the shutdowns at the same time every day? If so, any other process running at those times (e.g scheduled backups)?

To send us your system profile.

Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button
Save the profile.zip file and share in a private message or upload it to the post/ticket, and then reply to this post to bring it up in the queue.
