Unable to delete host groups or service groups

Nagios XI version: 5.7.1
Release info: cedarnms1 3.10.0-957.5.1.el7.x86_64 x86_64
CentOS Linux release 7.6.1810 (Core)
Gnome is not installed
Hi,
Can you please advise on the folloing issue that we are experiencing.
We no longer wish to use Host Groups or service groups. So I went to the CCM and deleted the host groups and service groups. (Note we only want to get rid of the groups and not the individual hosts or services>
When trying to apply the configuration, an error occurs and in config snapshots this is what we are gertting..see below.
Can you please advise as to giow to fix this ans the host groups and service groups no longer show in CCM but appear on the Web gui.
