ESXi Monitoring help on Nagios XI

Hello Team,

We have installed VMware plugin on Nagios XI server, at the end of install we could see following message:

Enjoy, --the VMware team

But, while trying to configure in configuration wizard it says" It appears as though you have not installed the VMware SDK or ESX plugins on your Nagios XI server. You must have these components properly installed on your system before using this wizard."

Can someone help on the issue?

Essentially, you have to get an SDK toolkit from VMware to make the monitoring plugin work.
You'll probably need a VMware support login to be able to download that. Once you have it, you can install it on your Nagios machine, and then the VMware monitoring wizard will work correctly.

Thanks Jdunitz for the reply.

Yes, did follow the same instructions which is in PDf and at the it also gave the message "Enjoy, --the VMware team"/ but the VMware wizard is not reflecting on the Nagios XI console.

Tried uninstalling and installing as well.

Any other options?

What is the OS/architecture of your system? Is this a new install of Nagios XI or an upgrade? If it is an upgrade, from what version?

What is the version of SDK that you installed? Did you see any messages after the "Enjoy, --the VMware team" line, stating that some of your perl modules may be too old?
