Logs

You may also want to try the check_logfiles plugin to see if that works better for you.

Need confirmation!! Do i need to install the above on both clients and server (Nagios) to sniff the patterns?

Hi,

The plugin would need to reside on the host where you intend to check the logs, you'll either have to use an agent like NCPA or check_by_ssh to run this on the host and return the results to Nagiso XI.

Let us know if you have more questions.
