Currently we are evaluating NLS Trial version and we would like to know whether is there any documentation available for scalability in terms of instances.

If we take license for single instance, will there be any limitation on the amount of log data that is processed/indexed or no of log sources that have been added to NLS.?

What is the min requirement to go for 2 instances?

How can we know whether we can go for single instance or more instances?

Is there any documentation available?

A maximum of 64GB of memory can be on a system but you can always add new NLS instances to a NLS cluster to give you scalability.

There isn't a hard limit to the number of hosts or amount of data that can be processed by a NLS instance. Factors such as machine specs, processing methods, filters, hard drive size/retention settings will all contribute to how much NLS can process and store.

I'd recommend keeping an eye on overall hard drive space, CPU, and memory usage as well as monitor the Java heap space that the Elasticsearch database uses. These can be seen in the web interface under Admin > System > Instance Status.
