All - Every time I try to save the config I keep getting one of the below messages. I'm on the latest version, which i just updated 5.7.2

Error: Contact 'username' is not defined anywhere!
Error: Could not add contact 'username' to host (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/hosts/filename.cfg', starting on line 16)

Error: Contact 'username1' is not defined anywhere!
Error: Could not add contact 'username' to host (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/hosts/filename1.cfg', starting on line 16)

I tried to edit the config and remove the name but it keeps coming back? I even tried to remove it from the contacts.cfg. These user names are nowhere to be found in gui in contacts either. I even try to do a DB clean up, no good? Thank you for your help

The configuration files are written by XI with information from the database. So, it is not advisable to change your XI configuration that way.

Do you see a contact named username or username1 for filename or filename1? Navigate to the Configure section of XI using the top bar > click Core Config Manager under Advanced Configuration on the left pane > then click Hosts under Monitoring > click on the relevant host name > select the Alert Settings tab > click Manage Contacts > and change the entries there to what they should be.

If that doesn't work, navigate to Config File Management under Tools on the left pane > click Delete Files > then Write Configs > Verify Files > and Restart Nagios Core.

If neither of those things work, please send ( PM ) us a profile so that we can look into the issue further. You can download the profile by navigating to System Profile under System Config on the left pane > and clicking the Download Profile button on that page.
